  • Explore the therapeutic tools of yoga for low back, hips, knees, upper back, neck and shoulders. 
  • Ease pain and tension. 
  • Cultivate strength, flexibility, balance and awareness of through mindful movement combined with breath.
  • Use breath techniques to manage stress, improve sleep and aid in immune and respiratory health. 
  • Grow confident in yoga self-care tools that are adapted for you and tailored to your interests.
This class is appropriate for regular self-care, beginners, students with pre-and post-hip and knee joint replacements, a variety of structural conditions and those who want a recovery day from athletic training.

Recordings are available in the Content Library to class registrants for 5 days following the class. 

"I’ve begun taking an online yoga class (Yoga Therapeutics taught by Mary Hilliker) through 5 Koshas Yoga and Wellness this winter, and it’s been so rewarding and a great way to feel a sense of community. We’re greeted and welcomed each week with a little time to talk with other students, which makes it feel like we’re all in this together. We get expert guidance and teaching of postures, with video alongside to help if you’re new to different postures or need a reminder of how to do one. And each week, the class focuses on different aspects that help with the stresses of the day. I especially like the guided breathing Mary provides—it helps me slow down and really focus on what I’m doing, and it forces me to be present." - B.T.
