iRest Yoga Nidra for Turbulent Times | Hybrid
Meditation on Wholeness, Connection, Completeness
This iRest Yoga Nidra is a guided visualization practice. This particular practice will start with a bit of movement to prepare for an extended seated practice, on the floor, or in a chair. Or, if you choose, in your recliner or on a mat on the floor. We will scan the body from within, noticing what is there, Finding bodily sensations that may be associated with feelings, emotions, thoughts or beliefs. Finding any traces of apurna, which is a feeling of contraction, separation, limitation, lack, or need. We will then firmly ground ourselves, perhaps in a seated position, and affirm our natural state of purna: expansive, timeless, complete, connected and whole.
There is even a Vedic Chant to go with this meditation: Purnamadah, which I will teach before the meditation practice. I will chant it as part of the meditation as as we finish the meditation. You may choose to join in, as you end your meditation session.
This meditation will be offered live on two dates: Monday, October 7 at 12:00 PM, and Monday, November 4, at 2:00 PM at 5 Koshas Yoga and Wellness. Register with your yoga class pass or membership. This will be a hybrid offering also over Zoom, and the recording will be available for one month to anyone registered for the session.
