The Power of Yoga Play: Mindfulness Strategies that Promote Self-Regulation and Connection in Neurodiverse Children (Part 2)

This workshop offers an introduction into simple strategies that support neurodiverse children. Part 2 will focus on emotional regulation challenges witn anxiety and anger as well as the importance of building empathy in prosocial behavior.

Objectives:
  • Review the science and importance of breath connection
  • Understand the role of the Love Nerve (vagus nerve) in self-regulation
  • Learn mindfulness strategies/activities and specific breathing strategies for calming anxiety and cooling anger.
  • Develop an understanding of the importance of empathy and tools that build empathy
  • Explore emotions through powerful body awareness interactive activities
