This workshop offers an introduction into simple strategies that support neurodiverse children. Part 2 will focus on emotional regulation challenges witn anxiety and anger as well as the importance of building empathy in prosocial behavior.
Objectives:
- Review the science and importance of breath connection
- Understand the role of the Love Nerve (vagus nerve) in self-regulation
- Learn mindfulness strategies/activities and specific breathing strategies for calming anxiety and cooling anger.
- Develop an understanding of the importance of empathy and tools that build empathy
- Explore emotions through powerful body awareness interactive activities
