Beyond asana, or postural practice, Tantric teachings are among the greatest practical
applications of traditional yoga for a modern western audience. The models, principles and
practices of Medieval India were accessible to all "Householders", ordinary people with full lives, as an avenue for extraordinary psycho-spiritual transformation. Many of these insights
have survived to the modern day, and create a framework to work toward integrating with our
highest potential.
This four-part series provides a path to utilize the philosophy and practice of Tantra Yoga to
examine our habits, develop insight, and open a gateway to our innermost self. Each session
will include background, principles and practices. We'll introduce formal practices, as well as
powerful informal practices to be used throughout the day.
